Obituary of Pearl Ryder
Mrs. Pearl Eliza Ryder, of Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex and formerly of Coles Island, New Brunswick, passed away at Kiwanis Nursing Home on April 4, 2004 at the age of 90.
Born in Cumberland Bay, New Brunswick on May 29, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Estella (Brown) Phillips.
Pearl is survived by her beloved husband Levi William Ryder, 3 daughters, Isabell Clark and her husband Lloyd of Cumberland Bay, NB, Eva Wood and her husband Beverley of Coles Island, NB, Hazel Wiggins and her husband Floyd of Coles Island, NB, 2 sons, Robert Ryder and his wife Betty of Waterborough, NB, Beverley Ryder and his wife Yvette of Greely, Ontario, her sister-in-law, Edith Phillips of Coles Island, 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pearl was predeceased by three brothers, Edward Phillips, Joseph Phillips and Harvey Phillips.
Pearl was a member of the Coles Island Baptist Church for many years, she was also a member of the Coles Island Baptist Aid and Women's Missionary Society for as long as her health permitted. Pearl enjoyed quilting, cooking and sewing.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Monday 7-9. The Funeral Service will be from Coles Island Baptist Church on Tuesday April 6 2004 at 2:00pm with Rev. Kenneth Young officiating. Interment at Coles Island Baptist Cemetery.
