Obituary of Harold Fanjoy

Harold was born in Waterborough on December 19, 1920. He was the son of the late Newton E.and Maude E. (Thompson) Fanjoy and was the husband of the late Ada Myrtle (Weir) Fanjoy, who passed away in 1975. Harold was a veteran of WWII, serving overseas in the Canadian Army. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Chipman Branch #74. Harold retired from the Department of Highways in 1976. Harold was a husband, a father, a pops, a brother, an uncle and a friend. He had a great sense of humor and a sarcastic wit. He loved life, long drives, ice cream and laughing. Harold will be remembered in the hearts of his two daughters: Susan Fanjoy and Joe Bartlett of Saint John, and Laura Ayers and her husband Rick of Newfoundland; his sons: Roger and his wife Brenda of Waterborough, Richard and his wife Glenna of Hatfield Point, and Dennis and his wife Marilyn of Saint John; his sister June Fanjoy and her husband Ronnie of Mill Cove; his grandchildren: Anthony, Jason, Sheri, Ryan, Corey, Myles, David, Sharlene, Stacy, Nicole, Derek, Christopher and Michael; his great grandchildren: Raeden, Wyatt, Devon, Connor, Gabriel, Samantha, Jacob, Zachary, Jaden, Cole, Harley-shae, Colton, Owen, Logan, Shyann, Katelyn; his great great grandchildren: Paige and Jessica, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Harold Fanjoy of Mill Cove, passed away at the Mill Cove Nursing Home on October 11, 2012 at the age of 91. He is predeceased by his infant children Elizabeth and Samuel, his brother Donald, and by two sisters: Frances and Blanche. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Harold's life will be held from Waterborough Baptist Church on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 11:00am with Pastor Steven Ferris officiating. There will be a reception held at the Waterborough Lions Den immediately following the service. Donations made in memory of Harold to the Waterborough Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
