Obituary of Herbert Holder

Mr. Herbert Charles Holder, of 588 Rte. 880 Lower Millstream, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on December 29, 2003, at the age of 80. Herb was born in Lower Millstream, NB on December 31, 1922 and was the son of the late William and Estella (Gregg) Holder.

Herb was a well respected Dairy Farmer for many years and has received many awards for his quality of milk production retiring in 1984. He enjoyed building bird houses, birds, crossword puzzles, fishing and gardening. He was the Toronto Maple Leaf's greatest fan.

Herbert is survived by his beloved wife Edna Maude (Thompson), two sons, Freeman and his Lynn of Fredericton and Gregg and his wife Mary Lou of Lower Millstream, a special daughter, Barb Fritz and her husband Donnie of Lower Millstream, two grand daughters; Stephanie and Rianna, his brother George and his wife Jean of England, his sister Madge Norrad of Fredericton, two sisters-in-law, Jean Holder of Lower Millstream and Anne Holder of Saint John, three brothers-in-law; Burton Crealock of Pearsonville, Gerald Pearson of Sussex and Harland McMorran of Morris Mills, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Herbert was predeceased by 3 sisters; Elsie, Mabel and Effie, and by 4 brothers; Ansel, Gordon, Lawrence and Leslie.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Herbert's request there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be from Lower Millstream United Church on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Linda Fuller officiating. Interment will take place at Wesley United Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Sussex Health Centre Dialysis Fund or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
