Obituary of Melvin Francis

Mr. Melvin Elmer Francis, of Sussex, NB, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on December 23, 2003, at the age of 61 years.

Mel was born in Saint John, NB on January 5, 1942, he was the son of Muriel Vera (Moore) Francis of Sussex and the late Elmer Lawrence Francis.

Mel is survived by his mother, 5 children; Cynthia Hughes and her husband Ernest of Sussex, Randolph Francis of Sussex, Angela Clement and her husband Shawn of Marshall Hill, Pamela Francis-Hatfield and her husband Albert of Sussex, Brenda Francis and Mike Edwards of Sussex Corner, and their mother Freda, 9 Grandchildren; Amanda, Sarah, Amy, Danielle, Chantel, David, Alex, Charlotte and Paul, his great grandson, Bailey, 2 brothers Gerald, Ronald and his wife Jean all of Hamilton, Ont., as well as several nieces and nephews. Melvin was a Woodsman, and was a trucker for MMH.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Saturday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Gene Fisher officiating. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery in the spring.
