Obituary of Austella Lockhart
Mrs. Austella (Stella) Marion Barbara Lockhart of 1089 Main St., Sussex Corner, NB passed away at Sussex Health Centre on December 21, 2003 at the age of 76.
Born in Parlee Brook on March 20, 1927, Austella was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Kyle) Forsythe and the beloved wife of the late Kenneth K. Lockhart who passed away in 1984.
Stella is survived by 3 daughters Sheila Brown of Sussex, Judy Juteau and her husband Yves of Millbrook, Linda Brown and her husband Eric of Sussex Corner, by her son Bill Lockhart of Sussex Corner, her brother Edgar Forsythe and his wife Audrey of Parlee Brook, 7 grandchildren; Tammy, Shelley, Angie, Tony, Arika, Becky and Shauna, 3 great grandchildren; Joshua, Alexa and Justin, as well as several nieces and nephews. Stella was predeceased by her son-in-law Calvin Brown.
Stella enjoyed playing cards especially 45's and bingo, she was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. Through out her life Stella an active volunteer in many projects in Sussex Corner.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Mon 7-9pm, and Tuesday 2-4,7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Marks Anglican Church on Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Allen Tapley officiating. The interment will take place in Trinity Cemetery in the spring.
