Obituary of Richard Joseph Thomas Landry

Rick Landry was born in Oromocto, NB on March 16, 1962 and was the son of the late Joseph Luke Landry and Hazel E. Miller. Rick was a Taxidermist who had a love and compassion for animals. He loved hockey, the Toronto Maple Leafs, fishing, bird hunting, playing at local charity benefits, golfing, yard sales, darts, playing cards, DJ'ing (especially at Scenic View Golf Course) and hanging out with Makailah and Mary. Rick will live on in the hearts of his sisters: Anne Robinson and her husband Tom of Millbrook and Mary Lewis of Berwick; his nieces and nephews: Dale Robinson and his wife Jennie of Berwick, Lori Trites and her husband Richard of Sussex, Brent Robinson and his wife Tori of Sussex Corner, Kim Welner and her husband Jamie of Millbrook, Megan, Mitchell and Makailah Lewis of Berwick and great nieces and nephews: Morgan, Luke, Katie, Summer and Khole; as well as his special friends: Anthony, Gail, Jerome, Stephanie, Sally and Joelle Mercer who were like family to him. Mr. Richard Joseph Thomas "Rick" Landry of Route 880 Summerfield, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on September 29, 2012 at the age of 50. He was predeceased by his mother Hazel who passed away in 1989 and by his father Joe who passed away in 1994. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Phillips Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00am. The interment will take place at St. Phillips Roman Catholic Cemetery followed by a get together at the Scenic View Golf Club. Donations made to the Living Memorial would be appreciated.
