Obituary of Annie Chestnut
Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Chestnut of 867 Route 865, Southfield, New Brunswick, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre, on November 19, 2003 at the age of 82. She was born in Bloomfield, NB on September 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Annie (Allaby) Mercer and the beloved wife of the late George E. Chestnut, who passed away in 1991. Elizabeth is survived by 2 Daughters; Laverne LeBlanc and her husband Ralph of Nackawic and Lorraine Keirstead and her husband Randall of Ottawa, 4 Sons; Stewart and his wife Suzanne of Southfield, George (Bud) of Sussex, Leo and his wife Linda of Fergus, Ont. and Rev. Harold and his wife Joan of Halifax, daughter-in-law, Florence Chestnut, 2 Brothers; Fred and his wife Theresa of Albert and Victor of Lower Millstream, 3 Sisters; Sadie Parlee of Sussex, Ruth Bettle of Passekeag and Jean Atkinson and her husband Ron of Williams Lake, BC, 15 Grandchildren; Susanne, Joseph, Kristen, Kandal, Sherry, Shelly, Stewart, Sheila, Arnold, Sally, Sharon, Edwin, Aaron, Duane and Peter, 20 great grand children; Matthew, Katrina, MacKenzie, Justin, Victoria, Charles, Jacob, Danielle, Michaela, Christopher, Helena, Scott, Travis, Michael, Lance, Derrick, Jason, Jordon, Alex, and Victoria, as well as several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her son John, her brothers, Thomas, Murray, Heber, Wesley, Elward, and her sisters, Janie Mercer and Alice Braeley, great granddaughter, Jessica Hynes and great grandson, Charles Daniel Bennett. Elizabeth was a member of Southfield United Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 23 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506) 433-1176). The Funeral Service will be held from at Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday November 22, 2003 with Otty Forgrave officiating. Interment was in Pinegrove Cemetery. The Pallbearers were: Joe LeBlanc, Stewart Chestnut Jr., Donald Bettle, Wade Amero, Mark McKay, Ralph, Mercer, and Honorary pallbearer Ken Dunham.
