Jean Elizabeth Carten, of Saint John and formerly of Sussex, passed away at her residence, the Kennebec Manor on October 21, 2003, born in Jordan Mtn., N.B. on October 21, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Alice (King) Hall. Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Clinton O'Dell, her second husband, Hedley Cameron and by her third husband Joseph Carten. Jean is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Stanley and her husband Les of Ontario her daughter-in-law, Harriet O'Dell of Saint John, her sister, Frances Long and her husband Cecil of Smith Creek, 7 grandchildren: Susan, Cathy, Glenda, Darrell, Karen, Kevin, Gary, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was predeceased by her son, Harold O'Dell, her brothers, Charles, Clayton, Kenneth, Roy, Earl and Lloyd, and by her sisters, Helen, Dora, Edna and Florence. Arrangements in care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), At Jean's request there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 24, 2003 at 10:00 am with Fr. Arnie Hachey officiating. Interment at Wards Creek Cemetery.
