Obituary of Helen Bishop

Mrs. Helen Eleanor Bishop of the Kiwanis Nursing Home and formerly of Kings Manor and St. George Street, Sussex. passed away at Kiwanis Nursing Home on October 15, 2003 at the age of 85. Born in Chipman NB on October 1, 1918 Helen was the daughter of the late Wellington and Della (Bishop) Chase and the beloved wife of the late Charles M. Bishop who passed away in 1984. Helen is survived by 2 daughters: Phyllis Brown of Chipman, Glenna Perry and her husband Donald of Coles Island. And by 2 sons; Vernon Bishop and his wife Ella of Chipman, Raymond Bishop and his wife Edith of St. Andrews, 2 sisters; Carol Buchanan of Chipman, Anna Wannamaker of Hampton, 15 Grandchildren; Shawn, Richard, Greg, Douglas, Pam, Jack, Wendy, Heather, Andrea, Allan, Marie, Peter, Barbie, Wayne, Linda 23 Great Grandchildren; Marissa, Tiffany, Jonathon, Bradley, Candace, Corey, Alicia, Allison, Travis, Brandon, Megan, Matthew, Logan, Matthew, Christopher, Corey, Katelyn, Jessica, Megan, Courtney, Cody, Jamie and Carrie as well as several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her daughter Marion, her son Cecil, a granddaughter Bonnie-Lee, 5 brothers; Purdy, Kenneth, Reg, Vernon and Clayton, and by 2 sisters; Ruth and Kathleen, Helen Eleanor Bishop Helen enjoyed Knitting. She was a former employee of Glendale Homes. She was a member of the Sussex United Baptist Church where she was a former member of the WI and WMS. She was a member of the Millstream Valley LOBA # 1389 Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Thursday 7-9 pm Friday 2-4pm & 7-9 pm. The Millstream Valley LOBA # 1389 will hold a tribute Friday Evening at 6:45pm. The Funeral Service will be from Sussex United Baptist Church on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 11:00 am. The Graveside will be held from Chipman 2nd United Baptist Cemetery Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm. There will be a time of fellowship with the family following the committal service at the Chipman Orange Lodge.
