Obituary of Dorothy Simpson
Mrs. Dorothy Leona Simpson of Sussex Corner passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on October 10, 2003 at the age of 75. Born in Smith Creek on December 18, 1927, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Abner and Charlotte (Arbeau) Dyer and the beloved wife of the late Everett Charles Simpson who passed away in 1977. Dorothy is survived by 5 daughters; Linda Almon and her husband Clifford of Knightville, Karen Almon and her husband Ralph of Knightville, Kim Gray and her husband John of Hammondvale, Janice Reeder and her husband Gary of Sussex Corner, Marlene McParland and her husband Mike of Alberta, 3 sons; Doug and his wife Mildred of Salisbury, Jim and his wife Debbie of On, Danny and his wife Debbie of Alberta, 1 brother, Albert of Smith Creek, her daughter-in-law Bernice Simpson of her sister-in-law Elsie Dyer of Smith Creek, her brothers-in-law Charlie , Wendell Holmes, 21 grandchildren; Mitchell, Robert, Ronald, Thomas, Dorci, Bradley, Stacey, Jonathan, Katelyn, Matthew, Amanda, Kathy, Sherry, Florence, Raymond, Harold, Sandra, Jeffery, Jason, Jennifer and Shelly 14 great grandchildren; Tasha, Tiffany,Corey, Lindsay, Warnock, MacKenzie, Robin, Alexandra, Josie, Marcus, Michaela, Darren, Nathan, Noah,, as well as several nieces and nephews Dorothy was predeceased by her son Gary, 4 brothers, Howard, Gordon, George, and Jim and by 4 sisters, Charlotte, Edith, Patricia, and Grace Dorothy enjoyed knitting, reading, TV bingo, and puzzles but her greatest passion was shopping Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Monday 7-9pm and Tuesday 2-4, 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from St. John's United Church on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gene Fisher with the interment following at Gosline Cemetery. Following the committal there will be a time of fellowship with the family at the Smith Creek Hall.
