Mr. Earl Millard Kierstead, of Waterford, passed away at his residence on October 9, 2003 at the age of 69. Earl was born in Millstream, NB on December 23, 1933, and was the son of the late Alfred and Martha (Beck) Kierstead and the beloved husband of the late Bertha E. (MacKenzie) Kierstead who passed away in 1966. Earl is survived by his son Danny of Edmonton, Alberta, 3 sisters: Bertha Moore and her husband Stewart of Apohaqui, Myrtle Goddard of Waterford, Freda Kelly of Sussex, his brother, Albert and his wife Helen of Kitchener, Ont, 2 granddaughters, Stephanie and Julie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Earl was predeceased by 2 sisters, Arvilla and Vera and by a brother Ervin. Earl was a member of St. John's United Church where he was also a member of the Men's Club. He was retired from MMH and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Sunday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service is from St. John's United Church on Monday, October 13, 2003 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Gene Fisher officiating. A private family interment will take place at Creightonville Cemetery followed by a time of fellowship with the family in the Church Hall. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Extra Mural Foundation, the Creightonville Cemetery or to the Memorial of the donor's choice.
