John V. 'Jack' Brown, of Penobsquis, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on September 29, 2003, at the age of 74. Born in Penobsquis, NB on December 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Edgar and Mary (Murray) Brown. Jack was a labourer and worked as a trucker, woodsman and a well driller. He enjoyed playing crib and hunting. Jack is survived by 2 sisters Grace Dunfield and Marina and her husband Bill Kyte all of Penobsquis, his sister-in-law, Marion Brown of Penobsquis, his aunt Bessie Murray of Sussex, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Tuesday 6-9. The Funeral Service is from Penobsquis United Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gordon MacKenzie officating. Interment at Cardwell Cemetery.
