Robert "Bob" Bruce Stevens was born in Chipman, NB on November 12, 1924. He went home to be with the Lord on September 26th, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Betty Doreen (Silk) of 55 years; their children: Robert and Sue of Salisbury, Margie of Fredericton, Barak and Val of Coles Island, Bruce and Deb of Old Town, Maine, Liz Stevens-Pye and Bob of Lower Sackville, NS, John and Karen of Fredericton, Mary-Ellen MacNeill and Ted of Saint John, David and Tammy of Blacks Harbor, Mark and Heather of Cody's and Jeffrey of Cold Lake, AB; 35 grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Ronald, George and a sister Mary and infant granddaughter Danielle. He was a deacon at Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship of Sussex, NB. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Bob's request, their will be a private funeral and committal service. There will be visitation with the family at the Coles Island Lion's Hall on Monday, September 29, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm including a brief service at 7:00pm.
