Mrs. Elsie Kyle, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, passed away at her residence on September 15, 2003, at the age of 91. Born in England on March 11, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Reginald and Gertrude (Lines) Betteridge and the beloved wife of the late Irvine James Kyle who passed away on March 25, 1996. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bent of Quispamsis, 3 sons, Gerald and his wife Lillian of Norton, Reginald and his wife Pearl of Sussex, Gary and his wife Marilyn of Saint John, 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Elsie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her daughter, Ruth McIllwraith, 2 brothers, Les and John Betteridge and by 3 sisters, Lillian, Winnifred and Gertrude. Elsie loved to travel and she is enjoyed bingo, knitting, needlework, bowling, fishing and hunting. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Wednesday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service is from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 18, 2003 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. David Barrett officiating. Interment at Trinity Cemetery.
