Obituary of Harold Murray Goddard

Harold was born on December 7, 1925 and was the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Dyer) Goddard. Harold grew up in Sussex with his sister Dorothy and his brother Nelson. Harold was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 for 40 years. He loved to play pool, darts and shuffle board. He also worked many years for the Kings County Record delivering papers in the Sussex area. Harold went to live at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in 2009 where he made many new friends. Harold enjoyed music, bingo and seeing old friends from the Legion. He will be missed by all who knew him. Harold will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Harold Murray Goddard of Sussex passed away on September 16, 2012 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home at the age of 86. Harold was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Wilson and his brother Nelson Goddard. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 1-3pm. Following the visitation, a tribute offered by the Royal Canadian Legion, Sussex Branch # 20 will be held at 3:00pm, which will be followed by a service celebrating Harold's life at 3:30pm from Wallace Community Chapel. The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery. Memorials made in Harold's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
