Obituary of William Bell
Mr. William (Billy) Bell, of Long Creek, NB, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on July 30, 2003 at the age of 76. Born in Dumfries, Scotland on March 13, 1927, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Cairns) Bell. Billy is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jean (Earle), 2 brothers, George Bell of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, David Cairns (Bob) of London, Ontario, his sister, Nancy Payne of Sussex, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and many friends. Billy was predeceased by 7 brothers, George, Jack, Maxwell Cairns, David, Duncan, James and Andrew Bell, 7 sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, Daisy Cairns, Jane, Elizabeth, Isabella and Catherine Bell. Known to his family and friends as Billy. Billy was a member of Local 213 Plumbers and Pipe-Fitters for 46 years retiring in November 1, 1988 making his home at Long Creek, Queens County, NB. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His happiest times was working at his saw mill and the many things he worked at in his garage. Billy was very contented just being home, feeding and watching his deer and playing with his kitty's and watching hockey games. He and his devoted wife Jean celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on May 29. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Friday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service is from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Hoyt officiating. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension, Saint John.
