Obituary of Georgia Dunfield

Mrs. Georgia Isabelle Dunfield, of Sussex, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on June 26, 2003. Born in Pleasant Ridge, NB on May 3, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Jane (White) Folkins and the beloved wife of the late Stanley Murray Dunfield who passed away in 1991. Georgia is survived by 3 daughters; Jean Ewart and her husband Glen of Sussex Corner, Linda Mills and her husband George of Rothesay, Ann Hawkes and her husband Allan of Sussex Corner, 2 son: Murray and his wife Brenda of Berwick, John of Sussex, her sister Jean Steen of Saint John, 2 half brothers Frank Folkins and Bev of Pleasant Ridge, Gerald Folkins and Marilyn of Saint John, her sister in law Ruth Ramsay of Pleasant Ridge, 9 grandchildren; Amber, Peter, Angela, Cassie, Richard, Derek, Mackenzie, Robin and Nicholas, 4 great grandchildren; Maya, Lucia, Brianna and Shelby, as well as several nieces and nephews. Georgia was predeceased by a grandson Todd In her earlier years Georgia was Teacher in Pleasant Ridge and Keirstead Mt. She was a foster parent and member of Wesley United Church Berwick and Lower Millstream WI, Sussex Senior Citizens, Cancer Survivors Group. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Saturday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service is from Wesley United Church on Sunday, June 29, 2003 at 3:00 pm with Jeanette Cosman officiating. Interment will take place at Lester Cemetery.
