Mr. John Thomas Mercer, of Smith Creek, passed away at his residence on June 23, 2003 at the age of 50. Born in Sussex, NB on August 17, 1952, he was the son of Hazen Herbert and Ida May (Snowie) (McConnell) Mercer of Ratters Corner. Besides his parents, John is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (Baskin), 5 sisters, Jennie MacDonald and her husband Ralph of Sussex, Paulette Mitton and her husband Bob of Ratters Corner, Bonita Lackie and her husband Eddie of Ratters Corner, Brenda Madden of Sussex and Pamela McDermott and her husband John of Sussex, 5 brothers, Wayne and his wife Joyce of Picadilly, Joe and his wife Pat of Sussex, Ronnie and his wife Debbie of Guelph, Bardy and his wife Cheryl of Saskatchewan and Trent of Ratters Corner, several nieces and nephews, and a very special little boy Tanner, who always called John
