Obituary of Alfred Asselstine
Mr. Alfred Francis Asselstine, of Sussex, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on June 17, 2003 at the age of 62. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on November 22, 1940, he was the son of the late John A. and Edwina A. (McLeod) Asselstine. Alfred is survived by his beloved wife Judy Ann (Prosser), daughter, Carol Allen and her husband Earl of Saint John, 3 step-daughters, Connie McDermott and her husband Paul of Newtown, Debbie May and her husband Clarence of Edmonton, Cheryl Brown and her husband Andrew of Belleisle, his son, Kirk Sawler (Asselstine) of Long Reach, 2 step-son, Jim McGrath and his wife Brenda of Ottawa, Ernie McGrath and his wife Jessica of Cherryvale, 4 brothers, John Asseltine of Kingston Peninsula, Bill Asselstine and his wife Edna of Kingston Peninsula, Bob Asselstine and his wife Gail of Kingston Peninsula, Charlie Asselstine and his wife Kim of Saint John, his sister, Dawn Healey of Saint John 12 grandchildren, Michael, Damien, Danielle, Jesse, Ryan, Scott, Amanda, Corey, Amy, Alex, Katie, Meghan, Christopher and Kerian, 1 great grandson, Jercobi, several nieces and nephews. Alfred was predeceased by his sister, Eleanor Tremblet. Alfred loved horses and wrestling. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday 7-9. The Funeral Service is from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 11:00 am with Rev. Troy Campbell officiating. Interment will take place at Anagance Cemetery.
