Herbert Zebulin Gaunce, of Sussex Corner, New Brunswick, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on May 20, 2003, at the 99. Born in Millstream, New Brunswick on November 29, 1903, Herbert was the son of the late Samuel and Suzie (Folkins) Gaunce and the beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Wason) Gaunce who passed away in 1990. Herbert is survived by his son, John and his wife Joan of Mississauga, Ontario, his brother, Donald of Cut Knife, Saskatchewan, his sister, Olive Sharpeof Mount Middleton, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Lloyd, Walter, Borden and Kenneth, and by 3 sisters, Francis, Lottie and Helen. Herbert was the former Registrar of the Queen's County Registry Office and formerly worked for the Gagetown Lumber Co. He was a former member of the Grace United Church, Gagetown. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Thursday 2-4, 7-9 p.m.. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 23, 2003 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Gene Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley United Cemetery.
