Obituary of Milton Gregg

Mr. Milton Milledge Gregg of Newtown, passed away at his residence on May 18, 2003 at the age of 62. Born in Lewistown, NB on October 12, 1940, he was the son of the late Harley and Catherine (Almon) Gregg. Milton was dearly loved and will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all his family and friends. Milton is survived by 6 children Vernon, Darrell and his wife Susan, Rhonda and Dawn Gregg all of Hamilton, Ont. Tina Monahan and her husband Allen of Cassidy Lake, Dereck (Digger) and his girlfriend Missy Snyder of Roachville, 7 brothers; Lloyd and his wife Dorothy of Montreal, Arthur and his wife Linda of Jordan Mountain, Arnold and his wife Marlene of White's Mountain, Myles and Kathy of Hamilton, Ont., Sterling and his wife Cindy of Plumweseep, Doug of Toronto, Arden of NewLine, 7 sisters; Elsie Dyer and her husband Jim of Smith Creek, Shirley Patterson and her husband Alan of Penobsquis, Mabel Wortman of Sussex, Freda Smith and her husband Harvey of Penobsquis, Lois Beach and her husband Leland of Cody's, Pauline Bradbury of Sussex, Phyllis Lewis and her husband Fred of Woodstock, 6 grandchildren, Brian, Carolyn, Jolee, Sarah, Brandon, Shauna, and Milton's friend Wendy Young of Sussex, as well as several nieces and nephews. Milton was predeceased by his daughter Sherry, 3 brothers; Melbourn, Medley and Harry, and by 2 sisters Georgia and Vivian Milton moved across the country as a young man working in many different provinces. He returned to Newtown in the early 1970's where he worked several jobs from forestry work to construction. He later came to work at the Potacan Mining Co in Cassidy Lake where he worked until he retired in 1996. Milton enjoyed the outdoors. He like hunting, fishing and driving his four wheeler and snowmobile for a pastime. Milton had a camp at Mechanic Lake where he enjoyed spending time around the campfire and socializing with his neighbours. Milton retired from Diamond Construction and was a former employee of Potocan Canada. Arrangements in care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Wednesday 2-4,7-9 . Funeral Service is from St. Paul's United Church on Thursday, May 22, 2003 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Gosline Cemetery.
