Verna Bernita Black of Canaan Forks, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre, on April 18, 2003. Verna was born in Cherryvale, on April 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Corey) Black. Verna is survived by one sister, Hazel Kierstead and her husband Clevie of Cherryvale, a sister-in-law, Dora Black of Moncton, several nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by 2 sisters, Helena Damery and Muriel Thorne and by 3 brothers, Elmer, Avard and Aubrey. At a tender age of 16
