Obituary of Helen Muir
Helen Grace Muir, of Gagetown, passed away at her residence the Gagetown Nursing Home on April 16, 2003. She was born in Springfield, NB on July 17, 1919, the daughter of the late Herbert and Evelyn Bernice (Kierstead) Muir. Helen is survived by her sisters, Elspth Crealock of Berwick, Jean Ness and her husband Ronald of Belleisle Creek, her brothers, George and his wife Pauline of Berwick, Mansel and his wife Yvonne of Belleisle Creek, Maurice and his wife Rose of New Haven, Connecticut, several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her sister, Dorthiea and a brother Otty. Helen received her education in Montreal and at UNB. She taught French at many different schools, in such areas of Quebec, Coles Island, Apohaqui, Kingston, Springfield. She was a member of the New Brunswick Teachers Association and the Collina United Baptist Church. Arrangements in care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Helen's request there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service is from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Allison MacLean. Interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery in the spring. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Collina United Baptist Church Building Fund or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
