Obituary of George Dyer
George Harvey Dyer, of Plumweseep, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on April 9, 2003, at the age of 62. George was born in Smith Creek on March 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Abner and Charlotte (Arbo) Dyer and the beloved husband of the late Idora (Hetherington) who passed away in 1984. George is survived by 3 daughters, Dianne and her husband Eldon McFarlane of Waterford, Brenda and her husband Bob Gray of Hammondvale, Gail and Dave Cook of Sussex, 3 sons, Dale and Sheila of Collina, Stephen and Brenda of Collina, Richard and his wife Sheila of Lake Road, Penobsquis, 2 brothers, Jim and his wife Elsie of Smith Creek, Albert of Smith Creek, his sister Dorothy Simpson of Sussex. 19 grandchildren, Shannon, Angela, Sara, Amanda, Jennifer, Amy, Matthew, Nikita, Emma, Krista, Melissa, Jeremy, Katelyn, Shaun, Becky, Craig, Dustin, Cody and Tori, several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his son, Greg, 4 sisters, Edith, Patricia, Charlotte and Grace, and 2 brothers Howard and Gordon. George was an employee of Dyer Lawn and Cemetery Care. Arrangements in care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Friday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service is from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 11:00 am with Rev. Alan Tapley officiating. The interment will take place at Gosline Cemetery, Knightville. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Living Memorial Program.
