Obituary of Helen Aiton

Mrs. Helen 'Irene' Aiton, of Kiwanis Nursing Home, formerly of Cedar Ave. Sussex, NB, passed away at her residence on March 11, 2003. Born in Titusville NB on February 1, 1914, Irene was the daughter of the late Brady and Helen Mae (Rupert) Morrison and the beloved wife of the late John Aiton who passed away in 1962. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sister Ethel Flewelling of Rothesay, three sisters-in-law, Vera Morrison of Sussex, Ethel E. Morrison of Hampton and Ethel R. Morrison of Titusville, several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and her friend of many years Martha Peacock of Sussex. Irene was predeceased by three brothers Charles of Sussex (1983), John of Titusville (1993), and Albert of Titusville (1997). Irene owned and operated Aiton's General Store in Salt Springs and Bloomfield, and continued to operate it on Cedar Avenue after her move to Sussex. A long time member of the Barnesville Presbyterian Church and its W.M.S., Irene attended the Sussex United Baptist Church in her later years. Arrangements in care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Thursday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service is from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 14, 2003 at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Kirk Hill Cemetery in the spring. Donations made to the Canadian Bible Society or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
