Obituary of Jean Templeton
Mrs. Jean I. Templeton, of Floral Ave., Sussex, passed away at Sussex Health Center on March 8, 2003. at the age of 78. Born in Sussex on October 18, 1924, Jean was the daughter of the late Horace and Ida (Haslam) Slipp and the beloved wife of the late John Templeton who passed away in 1998. Jean is survived by her daughter Kathryn and her husband Philip Titus of Moncton, 2 sons; Douglas and his wife Nadine of Haileybury, Ontario and Gordon at home. 5 grandchildren Ian and his wife Stephanie, Melanie Snyder and her husband Chris, Andrea, Jennifer and Garth Titus, and one great granddaughter Paige, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by a daughter Anne who passed away in 1966, by and infant brother Leonard and by a sister Thelma Campbell who passed away in 1985. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family Jean was a member of St. Paul's United Church, and was active in the church choir, and was a member and past president of the Sussex Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20 Ladies Auxiliary. Jean was an employee of J.D. Irving Oil Limited for over 17 years. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday 2-4, 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Phillip Dalimore officiating. Interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery in the spring. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a tribute on Tuesday evening at 6:45pm
