Obituary of Lloyd Yeomans

Lloyd Yeomans was born in Dutch Valley on July 26, 1924; he was the son of the late Herbert J. and Edna M. (McFarlane) Yeomans. Lloyd served overseas during WWII and was a member of Masonic Lodge. He was always a part of a large and loving extended Yeomans family. Even though he left Sussex Corner, married and put down roots in Toronto, he returned every summer with his wife and children and couldn't wait to get "home" He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Mount Allison University and Nova Scotia Technical College and worked as an expert in industrial conveyer belting for Goodyear Canada. He joined the army and trained men for the infantry at Camp Utopia in New Brunswick during WW11, but the war ended before he was shipped overseas. Two summers ago he came back with Bunty, their two daughters, their husbands, and four grand children, and joined in a wonderful reunion of the extended Yeomans family. At 86 years old he was the eldest family member at the gathering. His larger than life presence will remain with us.
