Obituary of Helen Cosman
Mrs. Helen Viola Cosman, of Head of Millstream, New Brunswick, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on November 17, 2002. Born in Head of Millstream, New Brunswick on April 12, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Hanah S.(Frazee) Hayes. Helen lived a good Christian life, she worked hard on the farm, and still managed to find time to teach in both public and Sunday Schools. Her hands were never idle; she did all of her own cooking, baking and made all of her children's clothes. Among her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, quilting, reading, working in her vegetable garden and her flower beds. She was always thinking of others, no matter who was sick in the community she was always dropping by with fresh cooking. Helen is survived by her beloved husband Arthur B. Cosman, 2 daughters; Elva Hutchins and her husband Bob of Saint John, Eileen at home, 2 sons; Bert and his wife Velma of Ottawa, Reg and his wife Rita of Head of Millstream, her brother Lloyd Hayes and his wife Bunty of Browns Flat, 3 sisters; Ida Bradley of Saint John, Luella Smith of Port Mateland, NS, and Vi Haines of Indiana, 7 grandchildren, Susan, Rick, Kenny, Neil, Lloyd, Dean and Kim, 17 great grandchildren, Erik, Owen, Karac, Dustin, Brent, Amanda, Stephanie, Justin, Taylor, Leah, Evan, Kyra, Shane, Noah, Satara, Lorrin, Amanda, several nieces and nephews. Helen Viola Cosman Helen Viola Cosman Helen was predeceased by her daughter, Maxine, three grandsons, Ronnie, Randy, Kevin, five brothers, Foster, Les, Owen, Warren and Hilyard Hayes, four sisters, Alma, Greta, Leah and Lena. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday 2-4,7-9 . Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Murray McCumber officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery.
