Obituary of Frank Jeffery

Mr. Frank L. Jeffery of 7 Cougle Road, Sussex Corner, N.B., passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 3, 2002 with all his family at his side. Born in Bagdad, NB on December 9, 1935, he was the son of the late Norman and Lena (Vail), Jeffery-Tower. Frankie is survived by his beloved wife Madeleine (Sprague) Pearson-Jeffery, his daughter Sheila Keith and her husband Corey and Heidi McDermott and her husband Randy, his son Kevin Pearson and his wife Gail, all of Sussex Corner, his seven Grandchildren Devin, Shannon, and Shanell Keith, Scott and Tyler Pearson and Colby and Kelsey McDermott, his sister, Marie Sleep and her husband Stanley of Coles Island, Nellie Wilson and her husband Bob of Fredericton, his brother Gary Jeffery and his wife Ann of Barnesville, his brother-in-law Bob Pilmer of Hardwood Ridge, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Lucy Pilmer who passed away in 1994. Frankie started his trucking career hauling gravel at the age of 18 with of course, a Ford. In 1960 he headed out of Bagdad to plow airstrips in Goose Bay, Labrador. It was there, where his love for snowplowing began. In 1970 he sat behind the wheel of his first tractor-trailer where he remained for the next 48 years. He was one of the founding shareholders of Kingsco Transport. He hauled the first load of salt to leave the former Potash Corporation of America Mine in Penobsquis for salt sales. Frankie lived and loved his trucks and his many Ford vehicles.
