Mrs. Bertha V. Daye, of Scenic View Special Care Home, formerly of Floral Ave. Sussex, passed away at her residence on September 5, 2002. Born in Mount Middleton NB on December 13, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Emma (Nicholson) Robinson. She was the beloved wife of the late Allan R. Daye who passed away in 1992. Bertha is survived by her son Don and his wife Geke of Fredericton, her daughter Joan DeLong and her husband Clifford of Quispamsis, 2 sisters Elva Alcorn and her husband Ernest of Norton, Florence Arnold and her husband Everett of Sussex Corner, 5 Grandchildren, Ryan, and his wife Jeana, Marijke, Jaclyn, Derreck and his wife Lorrie, Jeffery, several nieces and nephews. Bertha V. Daye Bertha was predeceased by 5 brothers; Clarence, Willard, Raymond, John, Ralph, 5 sisters; Gladys, Rena, Marjorie, Eleanor and Edna. Bertha was a member of the Orange Lodge, St. Paul's United Church and the UCW. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Sunday, September 8, 2002 at 5:00 pm, with Rev. Philip Dallimore. officiating. Interment at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
