Mr. Robert Andrew Smidt of Penobsquis passed away October 25, 2011 at the Sussex Health Center at the age of 46. Born on February 12, 1965, Bob was the son of Carl and Eleanor (Stevens) Smidt of Penobsquis. Besides his parents, Bob will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Eva Delaney Lowe Smidt and her mother Natalie Lowe, both of Saskatchewan; his brother John and his wife Sheri and their boys, Justin and Michael, all of Penobsquis; his sister Susan Smidt and Barry Laity of Riverview as well as the many friends he made throughout his life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506) 433-1176. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 6-8pm. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 at the Penobsquis United Baptist Church. Interment will take place in the Cardwell Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
