Obituary of Floyd Alvin Rouse

Floyd Rouse was born in Knightville, NB on March 10, 1929. He was the son of the late William Rouse of Knightville and Grace (Branscombe) of Cornhill and the husband of the late Patricia Roberta (Travis) Rouse, who passed away in 2000. Floyd is survived by his daughters: Faye McKnight of Marrtown and Judy Rouse-Stagg and her husband Wayne of Keirstead Mountain; four sons: Eric and his wife Terri of Sweethome, Oregon, Robert of Keirstead Mountain, Bill and Jan of Fredericton and Craig of Collina; daughter-in-laws Wanda Rouse of Keirstead Mountain & Ruby Rouse of St. George; his brother Carl Rouse and his wife Arlene of Penobsquis, and his sister Edith Ludwick of Oregon. His 37 grandchildren: Ryan McKnight and his wife Alicia of Marrtown, Clint McKnight of Alberta, Melissa Kimball and her husband Robert of Sussex, Luke McKnight of Sussex, Michelle Simpson of Sussex Corner; Ricky Stagg and his wife Sheri, John Stagg, Ryan Stagg all of Saint John, Kim Grant and her husband Andrew of Sackville, Stephanie Harper and her husband Frank of Anagance; Eric Rouse and his wife Jennifer, Dale Rouse and his wife Karen, Emily, Mary, Joel and Alica Rouse, all of Oregon, Shannon Rouse of Keirstead Mountain, Sean Rouse, Snider Mountain, Jacob Rouse of Keirstead Mountain, Hannah Rouse of Saint John, Billy Rouse of Fredericton, Jody Thomas of Hampton, Mark Papis of Florida, Corey Johnson of Alberta, Tyler Baxter of Saint John, Jordan MacDonald of Alberta, Dustin, Jenilee, Eris and Twilah Paul all of Fredericton; Cheyenne Rouse of BC, Jacklyn Rouse of NS, Amanda, Jessica, Ben and Zack Rouse all of Marrtown. His 39 great grandchildren: Katerina, Jacob, Shaelyn, Barrett, Cole, Amelia, Bryanna, Brooke, Bayley, Julianna, Nicole, Jacob, Tyler, Rebecca, Ethan, Dustin, Kaylan, Joey, Nicholas, Morgan, Nick, Mitchell, Maggin, Christopher, Beth, Lucy, Evie, Aubrey, Claire, Jack, Aiden, Bentley, Rylan, Dreden, Preston, Ayla, Emma, Abony and Julianna; and three great great grandchildren: Eric, Angel, and Hayden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Floyd Alvin Rouse of Keirstead Mountain passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday November 17, 2012 at the age of 83. In addition to his wife, Floyd is also predeceased by two sons: Earl and Gerald, his son-in-law Larry McKnight, his sister Joyce Lumpkin and by two grandchildren: Sarah MacDonald and Courtney Taylor. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday, November 19 from 1-3 and 6-8pm and again on Tuesday, November 20 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating Floyd's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Steeves officiating. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
