It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Christopher Carr who passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2013 at the age of 44. Chris was the son of Ralph and Nancy (Power) Carr and was the husband of Becky Kunze Carr. Chris worked for the Town of Sussex and was very active in his community. He was a member of the Sussex Fire Department, the Knights of Columbus, Tae Kwon Do, Cursillo, the Parish Council, a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed biking, golfing, was a second degree black belt and recently had started curling and playing hockey. He believed in giving back to his community whether it was being involved with organizations or by giving blood. Chris was known for his great smile and his loving heart. Chris married Becky on July 9, 2011. On that day, he also gave Jack a ring symbolizing his commitment to him as well. He and Becky owned a tent trailer and last summer spent 25 nights in it and were looking forward to doing it again this summer. He was a wonderful husband and Dad and enjoyed every day to the fullest. He lived his life with no regrets and believed we should all make the most of every day. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. Chris will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Becky; the son of his heart Jack; his parents Ralph and Nancy Carr of Sussex; his brother Michael Carr of Sussex; his sister Andrea Carr of Sussex; his mother-in-law, Wendy Seymour and Rheal and his father-in-law, Hart Kunze and his wife Janice, both of Sussex; his sister-in-law Heidi Kunze (JR) of Salisbury; his nieces and nephews: Clayton, Jesse, Brittney, Jacob, Hailey and Drew. Chris was predeceased by his fraternal grandparents: Ross and Marjorie Carr and his maternal grandparents Austin and Marion Power. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506) 433-117, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00am. Donations made to Jack's Trust Fund that has been set up at the Scotiabank would be appreciated by the family. Chris loved Jack as his own and would appreciate any help that Becky receives.
