Grammie Mason has always been in my life. She was constant. She was the Matriarch of the family. She was there in times of celebration and in times of sorrow. She had her own special ways and all of us have very cherished memories of the wonderful person she was. She leaves a tremendous legacy.
This word picture from the book of Proverbs, Chapter 31 speaks to me of Grammie's life:
Vs. 10-12 "A woman of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
Vs. 15 She rises while it is still dark; she provides food for her family.
Vs. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

I remember when I was young going to Aunt Bernice and Uncle Joe's on Sundays. It was always a wonderful time there. We got to play on the big swings Joe built and there was always a wonderful meal cooking in the kitchen. She was a wonderful lady and if I had to describe her I would say that she was a "gentle" woman, very loving and always smiling. I never saw her upset and she always had kind words.She was such a BEAUTIFUL woman from the inside out! I will miss her dearly!!! God is lucky to have her back!!!!!!

With a life well lived and a person well loved there are so many memories to cherish that will be a source of comfort during these days of grieving. We send to you our deepest sympathies and support at this time as we remember Bernice as a member of our community. There are those individuals who seemed to be always there, a beacon of kindness, hospitality, friendliness and love. Bernice was one of those stalwart beacons in our community who we'd see heading to the turkey barns early in the morning as we passed by on Leonard Carhart's bus early in the morning and she would wave to us. Bernice was already ready to share with others what she had particularly her rhubarb that always grew better than most any other patches in Carsonville. Being welcomed into her home (both the old house and the new house) on Halloween one was certain to be met with a smile for her visitors. She was blessed to be surrounded by a loving caring family who provided for her in her final days surrounding her with an abundance of love and care - the same love and care she offered to others. She will be missed and she will be remembered. With thanks to God for a life well lived and a person who was well loved, I give thanks that my life, and the life of many, were blessed with her gift of life. To honour Bernice and her life a donation will be made to the Renovation Fund of the Carsonville Head-of-Millstream United Church. Holding you in our thoughts and prayers. Rev. Our sincere condolences on the passing of Aunt Bernice. I have many, many fond memories of having her drive to church with Mum and I and of working in the barns alongside her. We had the pleasure of having a wonderful visit with her around the time that Mum died. In a way, that visit made me feel closer to Mum as she loved Aunt Bernice very much. Despite Aunt Bernice's failing health at the time, she was still full of fun & had that wonderful twinkle in her eye that I always remember her having. We wish the entire familyl the peace of God that passeth all understanding.
