I was very sorry to read of Sylvia’s death. I met Sylvia, and her mum, long before we became next door neighbors on Fowler Avenue in 1990. Sylvia was very friendly, and I don’t think I ever saw her without a smile on her face, especially when she talked about Matilda and Augie (Sara Dawn). Aunt Melitta, cousin larry, cousin doug, cousin bredena, Mithilda, sara, Brittany & Families.....My heart is broken over the sad sad news of sylvias passing. Although sylvia and i only met a little over a year ago, it was as though we had lived all our lives together . i'm not quite sure if i was born or not when uncle alb and his family moved away from here, is i was i was very little, but i grew up hearing stories about most of you from my mom, other family members and of course uncle alb, whom i cherished dearly. Sylvia was as close to uncle alb as you could get, and was completely and utterly devestated by his passing, today i only wish and pray they are united together in heaven. i spoke with sylvia quite often over the phone, we had some really great conversations, and one thing that she always remembered to metion was her love for her family. her children were her most prize possession, and i came to find out that sara and i are around the same age, she spoke highly and often of her mother and father, also her siblings, her sister berdena, an only sister is someone you cherish deep and and share a special bond with that will last a lifetime, i have only one sister and i can attest to that......her brothers larry and doug, she shared stories of all you guys with me,it was evident that you all had great times together, which now will be awesome memories to cherish, larry and berdena i think you two are off the hook, pretty sure she had doug tagged as the torement, haha...sorry douggy....all jokes aside sylvia loved you all so much all her family meant the world to her, dont ever doubt that. I wish with all my heart that this was not a reality, and i wish sooo much that i could be there with you, but unfortunately that is not the case, however i offer to each and every one of you my very deepest condolences and my love. This life is a gift that we are given to cherish each and every day with our families and friends. Although at times it seems unfair and difficult to understand and to carry on, and at the darkest of times we have no where and no one to turn to, family and there love are always there no matter what, they accept you for who you are and love you unconditionally. So in this time of sorrow and grief i encourage you all to hold tight to one another and cherish you memories of sylvia together, i hope with all my heart that one day i will meet all of you that i have not met, and get to see everyone else again for this life is far to short to be strangers with family.......Sylvia.....i am so very glad that we got to meet and establish a relationship, i only wish that we hadmore time together in life, i love you, i will miss you terribly and cherish the time we shared...for you now i pray you are at peace.....Good bye my dear sweet cousin, til we meet again..... Sylvia, We were the Best of friends as kids growing up, we shared many laughs esp in that half dug out basement. I can still hear mom calling out to me and we would wait it out until we knew she was gone inside, then we would come out and I would run home. The stories you shared about Pregnancy, I was so young but was amazed that you had a baby inside of you. It was amazing. Memories I will cherish forever. We shared true girly time, it was so much fun. It was not just because you had a good looking brother that I had a childhood crush on, that we were such good friends, it was because you were an amazing girl and we both like to laugh and have fun. I remember the Love you had for Derrick and how you would tease me about your brother and how one day we would be going out. It was a childhood I will never want to exchange with anyone. You were my idle and I looked up to you. I look back now and wish we were still those 2 silly girls picking berries up on the hill. I love you Sylvia, Thanks for being my Best Friend growing up.
