Sylvia was born in Newfoundland on October 11, 1963, she was the daughter of Melita Rooney of Sussex and the late Albert Young. Sylvia will be lovingly remembered her mother, Melita Rooney of Sussex; her three daughters: Matilda Norrad of Sussex, Sara Norrad (Todd Murphy) of Campbellton and Brittany Foss of Sussex; her grandsons: Torrien and Emmett, her sister Berdena Bryson (Earl) of Quispamsis; her brothers Doug Young (Dawn) of Wards Creek and Larry Young (Michelle) of Saskatchewan; her grandmother Sylvia Hewlett of NFLD, the fathers of her children: Derrek Short of NFLD, David Norrad of Sussex Corner and Gary Foss of Sussex, aunts: Ellen Shiner (Rodman), Nina Janes (Raymond), Mabel Young and Bessie Welshmen (Malcolm), all of NFLD, Doris Hewlett of Sussex Corner, uncles: Pearce (Lucy), NFLD, Clayton, David (Ethel), Jim, Ronald (Florence) all of NFLD, Gerald (Trudy) and Geddis (Ivy) of PEI; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins: Darren, Dawn, Trixie and Ricky and their famlies. Delphina Sylvia Helen Eileen (Young) Norrad of Sussex passed away March 24, 2013 at the age of 49. She was predeceased by her father Albert Young in 2010.
