Brenda, Ginger, Sorry to hear about your dad. I enjoyed working with him during the summers when I was in university. One time, after getting his porter stuck in the mud, he put an entire load of pulp (that I had cut)in the mud hole so he would not get stuck again. Needless to say, I was not impressed. He just smiled and told me it was a good thing the hole was not bigger. Great guy to work with. He will be missed. Hazen

It is very hard to think of the "Beaches" across the field without Harold. He has been their as our neighbor for over 51 years. That path across the field and over the brook was well worn. Harold always had a smile and a story. Years go by and we all grow up and change, but what never seemed to change was the warm welcome we would always receive when we crossed the brook, be it for a cup of coffee in his kitchen, or a chat sitting on his chairs in the doorway of his garage. Harold was a good man, and will be missed. Brenda, Jimmy / Ginger, Mike, my condolences on your loss.

Harold was a friend through the last ten yars' I Married his next door neighbors daughter Marilyn. Harold showed me nothing but kindness a quick smile as we shared many a cup of coffee while petting Alfies latest horse. A real gentleman who I truly admired and will miss.

A lot of memories have gone through my head in the last 24 hours. Harold rigging up play houses and when we grew too big for those, helping us build tree houses, later on setting up the trailer for camping at Grand Lake. In later years chopping firewood was a common past time when he wasn't raising a batch of kittens. No matter what it was, Harold and Julia always made 'Harolds across the Field' feel like a second home when growing up and it's always been important for all of us living or visiting next door to be able to walk over or meet half-way to say hi. We'll certainly miss those visits,

I remember one day when I was working at McCreadys, Harold parked his '96 f-150 out beside the store everyday.(with the keys in it, of course) I had the identical truck as his, same colour and all. I switched my truck for his while he was in the restaurant. (I put his key's in my trucks ignition) When Turk went to leave, he couldn't figure out why the old girl wouldn't start. He was quick to realize he had been pranked. Every time I would see Harold, he would always be sure to bring that story up. R.I.P Harold you were a kind hearted man that made lots of laughs.
