Sending my heartfelt sympathy to my good friends, Jean and the Armstrong family, Michael, Kerrie, Lana, and Sharon’s faithful companion and home care provider, Shanna, in the loss of someone so near and dear to your hearts. The first time I met Sharon, she was about five or six. Marlene and I were visiting Jean and Elmer in Apohaqui and she was somewhere in the neighborhood playing. Marlene yelled for her to come home, and in comes this little tomboy wearing a big grin, and her hands in her jean pockets. When Marlene asked her what she had in her pockets, she said, “Rocks, but I’m only throwing them at the ground.” Marlene asked her to take them outside and put them back on the ground in case someone got hurt. Still grinning, she did as Marlene asked. Since then, and until her battle ended, Sharon had been a part of my family through the good times and the bad, and we are truly going to miss her. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that my prayers are with you all. R.I.P. “ole pal”

Thinking of Sharon today as I look at the paint on my walls. I remember how she put the run to my crackfiller while he took his time and she was ready to paint.
