Obituary of Sharon Ann Armstrong

Sharon "Puffer" Armstrong was born in Sussex on August 6, 1961 and was the daughter of Jean (Sprott) Armstrong and the late Elmer Armstrong. Sharon's first few years were spent living on a farm in Mercer Settlement. She could always be found at the neighbours houses or where ever there was any action. The family then moved to Apohaqui where Sharon made many life long friends. Sharon would always be running to the Jone's store and she would be breathless when she arrived so she inherited her nickname "Puffer" from Don Campbell. Sharon had three beautiful children: Michael, Kerrie and Lana who she loved dearly. Her house was always spotless and she was a great Mom. She was very kind and a giving person, always ready to help and was famous for having treats to give to all the children. Sharon worked as an interior decorator and painter, as a housekeeper looking after family members and she was famous for her chauffeuring skills driving around family and friends. She loved her music, friends, family and partying. She was known as the life of the party. Sharon had a special talent for borrowing a vehicle for a few hours that usually turned into a day or two. Sharon was blessed with her granddaughter Olivia and she brought so much joy to her. When Olivia was being mischievous, she has a sly grin that she inherited from Nanna. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she will live on forever in the hearts of her children: Michael, Kerrie and Lana (Shane Loveless) and their father Terry Hussey of Bathurst; her granddaughter Olivia Rose; her special friend Shanna Craft; her mother, Jean Armstrong (Doug); her brother David (Judy); her sisters: Marlene (Gil), Donna (Bob), Heather (Lloyd); her brother-in-law Gordon Peterson as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Sharon "Puffer" Ann Armstrong passed away on August 10, 2013 at the age of 52. In addition to her father, Elmer, she is predeceased by her sister, Reta Peterson and best friend Kim Friars. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Sharon's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00am. There will be an opportunity to visit with the family following the service. The interment will take place a Upper Springfield Cemetery. If you are considering making a memorial donation the family has recommended the Living Memorial or the donor's choice. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
