I will never forget some of the things that happened while on the school bus, Harvey stayed true to us in need at that time. Others have also passed on, so I will not name names. I'm so sorry to hear of Harvey's passing, I have fond memories of him at the horse auctions, what a great eye he had for a good horse! So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I so enjoyed getting to know Harvey at Dr.Green's office. We loved to talk when he came in especially about gardens. Harvey was such a sweet and personable man. I will always have such pleasant memories from our talks. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to get to know him. Harvey was always a good friend and neighbour.No matter where we met we stopped to have a short conversation about things in general.When he was out driving in his truck he would always wave when he saw you.I stopped to chat with him earlier this summer when I was out walking with my grandson - not knowing it would be our last.He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.Condolences to the family:Debbie and Hazen Cummings

I'm so sorry to hear of Harvey's passing. He was my bus driver for many years and always took the time to get to know each person. He was a gentle soul with a backbone of steel when it came to the kids. He loved his job but wouldn't put up with anyone getting out of hand. I remember a few kids walking home;) His smiling face will be missed.

Harvey, was SPECIAL & will be greatly missed. I didn't know him until I was a bus driver too but soon got to know him & Shirley. We always enjoyed talking to him whenever we met he always had that beautiful smile. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to all the Briggs family. We were neighbours in Drury's Cove and I remember fondly, all the times spent at their house for birthday parties, sliding parties in the winter. Harvey was our bus driver while they lived in Drury's Cove and he was great. When they moved to Sussex Corner, we were sad to lose a good neighbour. Over the years whenever I would meet Harvey in town, he would ask about the family and we'd have a grand chat. Harvey will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Harvey's passing. He was my bus driver when I was young and he took such good care of me. I remember he was never Mr. Briggs, in fact I don't think I knew his last name at all, it was always Harvey. He was so sweet. I remember once I fell asleep on the bus and I lived at the beginning of the route but when he found me asleep at the end of his route he drove me clear home. He always had a smile and always knew me by name. You have lost a great man who I always remembered fondly as one of best bus drivers that was caring and loving.
