My thoughts and prayers are with you Jean and all of your family at this difficult time. What can I say about Reg....well I cherished his guidance and support over the years. He always had time to listen and shared very helpful advice. I have to share a story when my boys were about 3 and 5 and one Christmas Eve we were at a function where Reg and Jean were and Reg said "boys do you put cookies out for Santa"? and of course they said yes. Then he said what do you put out for the reindeer? So for many many Christmas Eves we put out cookies and they said don't forget that Reg said we have to put out carrots for the reindeer.....that is a precious memory along with many more that I will cherish when I think of you Reg. You will be missed dearly!! RIP my friend!

We were unaware of Reg being ill and his death has come as a shock. Our family was pleased to see him at the funeral home in early August when our dad, John McArthur, died. Reg was a fixture in our childhood at the bottom of O'Connell hill - and I always thought of him as a kind, quiet, gentle man who always had a smile and a warm greeting. Jean, Angela and Larry, you guys were very lucky to have a wonderful guy like Reg in your life, as was I, he was a great friend to our family over the years, he was like a father to me after my own Dad passed away, many a days and nights I was at your home, and Reg was always teasing me, he brought Angela and I to a lot of Hockey Games over they years, but only if we went to the Mass first. He was always happy, my Mother will especially miss him, because he was her dance partner when she was able, and they both enjoyed fiddle music.
