Obituary of Beulah MacEachern

Beulah MacEachern was born in Hallstown, Newfoundland on December 28, 1928, she was the youngest daughter of the late William Whelan from Newfoundland and Alice H. Hall of Sydney Nova Scotia, and the wife of the late John "Jack" MacEachern who passed away in 2003. Alice lived on Kings Road in Sydney with her sister Ella and her husband Alex, who had a big job with the Sydney steel plant which was main industry there at that time. Beulah loved to play the Piano and laughed a lot... she was sooo good to her nieces and nephews and visited frequently, Beulah loved to stop by regularly for a spot of tea with her sister-in-law mother Mary Jo, she never arrived empty handed; she had gifts especially for the kids, lovely sweaters and skirts, what joy they experienced. Beulah is survived by her sons John and Monique of Sussex, Bob and Crystal of New Line, her grandchildren: Madison, Lindsay and a special grandson Bradley; as well as several nieces and nephews. Sheila of BC, Anilori of BC, Patsy Hollis, Geraldine Templeton of New Hampshire, MA, Carolyn Whelan of South Bar Nova Scotia, Brian Whelan, Joanne Whelan of Sydney Nova Scotia, Josie Whelan in South Bar, Nova Scotia, Paul Whelan and his wife Glynis, Roy Whelan and his wife Darlene of Sydney Nova Scotia; Shelley Whelan and his wife Marie of Edmonton, Alberta. Beulah was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is also predeceased by her siblings:Genvieve and her husband Mac, Ella "Sally" Hollis and her husband Alex,Gerald Whelan and his wife Mary Jo, Tony Whelan and his wife Eileen, Terrance "Mickey" Whelan and wife Mary, Arminella, "Army" Watson and her husband John, and by her nephews Billy and Errol Whelan Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Beulah's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, May 26, 2014 at 10:00 am followed by the interment at Wards Creek Cemetery.
