To the Dalling families
Thinking of yous today. Sorry we cant be there. But today is a day to remember the memories of the big teddy bear. I have missed George and the conversations at Hynes we used to have. Ordering two old port tip and a leter of chocolate milk and then one day George didn't stop at the store the day after the accident and then for George there was sickness and now there is no more sickness. Bill and I remember the visits and chats and card games. Take care and we will be talkin to you later

I am behind the time.
I am so sorry to hear of Georges passing. I always had a good feeling from him when I was around doing some work or just talking. One day, as we stood out beside the machine shed talking, I mentioned how beautiful it was to look across to the hills and George pointed out that if not for the farmers grooming and taking care of the land I would not be able to enjoy that view. He was right and I never will forget it. All I can say to you his family and to George is God Bless You and enjoy the view.

I have memories of George from my childhood. I remember seeing him sleeping on the sofa while the TV blared and the kids sat nearby and didn't dare wake him up. I remember Mabel yelling at him for cheating while playing Canasta. A man with big hands held onto his cards until he could lay them all down and go out. Of course everyone yelled at him and he sat back and grinned. This is my fondest memory of him. I also remember him coming home and Mary faithfully had his dinner hot and ready for him the minute he walked in the door (no matter what time it was) and boy did he love his meat, potatoes and home made bread of course!
I haven't seen him much in the last years of his life but I was always following his progress after his accident and then as he fought Cancer. (Getting regular updates from mom and dad)
He'll be missed for sure! I take comfort knowing he is no longer in pain and probably fishing with his Dad. <3

I hope George is finally at peace and feeling no pain. Condolences to the Dalling family. I remember going to the Waterford store for treats, especially the great selection of penny candy, and this huge man was always there sharing funny stories about hunting and working in the woods with the men in my family. He seemed like a gentle giant with a big laugh. When I got older it seemed George got shorter, I then realized I just grew. I've been fortunate to get to listen to Harley and George have their discussions, always in humor, and I got to see how smart and interesting he was. Thank you George for the quiet, respectful man I grew up around.
