I am the proud daughter in law of Mrs. Jane Wood as Mr. Richard Wood is my father in law. To me, Jane is the epitome of class, elegance, and generosity. I remember many laughs, many secrets, many stories we shared, especially as we both found true love in later years, and both in unconventional ways. I will regret the moments that a mother and daughter often share as we go through this journey we call life, however, I will treasure each moment that she continues to contribute to my life. The shell, Mrs. Wood, may not be able to hold my hand, nor pat my back in times of sorrow, anymore. But the empathy, understanding and grace she taught me will be with me for as long as I live. In turn, I have the opportunity to pass them down for many generations to come. Jane was the closest thing I had for a mother, and it was to my deeepest regrets that we never shared as much time together as we should have. I only have continued love in my heart for this great woman, for as her earthly body may be gone, my love and respect for her will never die. I can't really say I am going to miss her, since she'll never be as far from me as a warm, loving and caring thought.
