Jim boarded at my parents home during the summer of 1956. At the time he was driving dump truck while the Mackay Highway was being built. From that short summer, he maintained a friendship with our family and we, in turn, with him. His faith, wisdom, kindness, wit, fortitude and, of course, his "bashfulness", were all traits that we wish to emulate. Rest in peace Jim, you were one-of-a-kind and you will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Crowe family at this sorrowful time.
Jim will be missed by many. He taught us a lot about how to live our lives by appreciating and being grateful for what God has given us. How many times have we heard Jim say "I feel so fortunate". In spite of and because of his MS he helped so many people by sharing his knowledge of native remedies and always having such a positive attitude.
Rest in Peace my friend.

My deepest sympathies. Jim worked with my father, Harold, at the Cheese and Butter for many years. When my sister and I would visit Dad at work we would often see Jim. He always spoke to us intelligently, never talking down to the two young girls visiting in the office. His tenacity to live with MS and on his terms was an inspiration. He will be missed.

Jim was such a kind and thoughtful man. Always willing to help others out in any way. Always loved our chats with Jim. He knew so much about Sussex and surrounding area and made his stories come alive. He was definitely a fighter, but more than that he had amazing faith that shone through each time he spoke.Your struggles are now over Jim. Rest in peace in the loving arms of Jesus. Thanks for all you did for others! Lynn & Paul Veysey

Jimmy was one of a kind. As with the other members of his family, Jim was a caring, kind neighbour and friend. Our lives would not have been the same without him/them. Always time to talk and offer support throughout many years. We would have too many stories to type, but all good and interesting. May Jim rest in peace.
