Obituary of Edward William Bridgeo

Edward William Bridgeo was born on January 3, 1950 in Jonesport, Maine, to Bruce and Mary (Haywood) Bridgeo. Ed graduated from both the high school and BA programs at Bethany Bible College, now known as Kingswood University, in Sussex, New Brunswick. While in college he had the privilege of playing bass with the original Gospelaires and enjoyed many fun times with these great gentlemen. Ed later received his Master's Degree at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. He pastored for 17 years with the Wesleyan Church. He also worked in the Social Services Department for the province of New Brunswick for 19 years. In 2008, Ed retired and lived at Beulah Camp, Browns Flat, NB in the summer and in Brooksville, Florida, at the Wesleyan Village for the winter months. Ed enjoyed the outdoors and all kinds of sports including hunting, softball, hockey, golf, shuffleboard and he really loved four wheeling on his baby, `Big Red'. Ed was also a Ham Radio operator with the call sign VE9ED. Ed's love of music gave him the opportunity to travel for eight years as a weekend warrior with New Wine. He is survived by his wife Lydia; his mother Mary Bridgeo of Browns Flat; sons: Captains Robyn and Stephanie Bridgeo of Denver, Colorado, and Rev. Ryan and Holly Bridgeo of Plumtree, North Carolina; his sister Joan and Stuart McCoy of Peru, Indiana; his brother Dr. David Bridgeo of Windsor, Ontario; seven grandchildren: Ashley, Hannah and Elijah, Jordan, Taylor, Micah and Lauren as well as by several nieces and nephews. Ed is predeceased by his father Rev. Bruce Bridgeo; Lydia's parents, Deane and Jean Hallett; his brother-in-law Bill Stapleton as well as sisters-in-law Gale and Charlene Hallett.
