Obituary of Iain William MacKnight

Iain was born in Campbellton, NB on February 6, 1930; he was the son of the late Elmer and Charlotte (Ferguson) MacKnight.

Most of Iain's growing up years were spent in Campbellton where he would graduate from high school, from Campbellton High. Iain spent his life working as an accountant and banker. In 1965 he began working as a Mining Accountant, first in Newcastle and then in Bathurst with Brunswick Mines. He also spent years working with The Royal Bank of Canada, both in Campbellton and Sharbot Lake, Ontario. In 1986 Iain retired from the workforce.

Iain loved to travel and enjoyed reading a good book. He was also a member of the Campbellton Baptist Church and the Sussex Baptist Church.

Iain will be lovingly remembered by his sister Margaret Reiley of Kelowna, BC as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Iain William MacKnight of Sussex Corner, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 9, 2016 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie (Erb) MacKnight in 2015; his brother Kenneth Ferguston MacKnight and his sisters: Jean Fulford, Marion MacKnight, Isabell Ferguson and Ina Wilding.

Arangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).

Marie and Iain MacKnight, formerly of Sussex Corner, passed away Feb. 6, 2015 and May 9, 2016 , respectively. Marie and Iain will be reunited in their final resting place in Campbellton Rural Cemetery on May 20th at 2pm. A reception will follow at the First Baptist Church 18 Andrews Street, Campbellton.
