So very sorry to learn of Greg's passing and my sincere sympathy to all of his family and friends. I know how much he loved all of you and how proud of you he was. I enjoyed every one of my conversations with him over the years...he was always interested to hear about Gene's latest hunting adventures and to share his own stories.
He definitely was one of the strongest people I have ever known, an inspiration to so many. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Greg.

my sincere sympathy to all the family...i had the pleasure of meeting Greg while he was a patient on 3ds at the regional hospital over the years..i had many talks with him while cleaning his room .he was so proud of his family ..i heard of many fishing and hunting trips which he so enjoyed..he will be sadly missed....treasure your memories.

Sympathies to Greg's family and friends....I am an EMP nurse and have spent many years getting to know Greg.He was probably the most sociable patient I have ever had....he informed me from the start that we were distantly related and always had tales for me from the family tree....I never had to buy a paper or watch the news on the days i was visiting as i was always guaranteed he would know all the latest that was going on in the area, probably before any newspaper ever did....Always felt welcome in his home even though I am sure he would have rather been elsewhere,like hunting, than having to endure our visits. He always spoke so lovingly and proudly of his sons and especially his grandchildren....his eyes lit up everytime I asked about them.And he always remembered things about each one of us that visited, always remembered our kids names and what was going on in our lives....and before we ever got to ask how he was that day, he always asked us first. Even through all the trials and difficulties life threw at him, he remained a kind, humble man and never showed any kind of bitterness or regret despite everything he had been going through. He lived life to the fullest and I will dearly miss him.

I am Greg's cousin and lived next door to him when we were children.How was I to know that this white haired, chubby little boy would grow up to be such an inspiration to so many people. Having gone our separate ways for many years,we became closer when we were older. I'm so glad I got to know him again. He was an amazing person and will be missed by so many.

My heart goes out to you Jeff , Jason, Jack and the rest of the family. Greg was one of a kind and a hero to me and the kids. When everyone else steered clear of us after Carl passed away he was there checking on us daily and taking care of my house stuff that I couldn't deal with. He was one of a kind. I will always regret I didn't take the time to get out and visit as it was discussed many times we Have to go and see Greg. Greg will be greatly missed. He impacted so many lives, even though he thought he touched only a few. He will live on in our hearts, never forgotten. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us, and making each one of us feel extra special. To Jason and Jeff, you have an amazing father, he always spoke well of both of you. He truly adored your children and shared with many their accomplishments, and their beautiful smiling faces. To Jack, you have been a wonderful brother, struggling with your own health issues and yet looking after that "stubborn" man. He loved you dearly, and spoke often of your friendship. It was always a relief to know he had so many looking in on him, but especially you. Thank you for sharing him with our Extra Mural family. He was loved by many of us, and will be sadly missed. I will say a special prayer on the day of his funeral for your families. I truly believe he walks in Heaven, completely free of his pain and suffering. I look forward to seeing him again someday. Sending you my deepest sympathies. I was very sad to hear today of Greg's passing. We had a lot of laughs over the past few years of getting to know each other. He seemed to enjoy teasing me on just about everything you can imagine. At the same time he was a great listener and caring soul.
