Obituary of Gregory Delbert Adair

Greg Adair is the son of the late Delbert and Ina (Gray) Adair. He was born in Sussex on November 2, 1957; however, he spent most of his life in Hammondvale with his working years at the Mines. Greg has left his mark on the hearts of his sons: Jason and Ruth-Ann Adair of Sussex and Jeff Adair and Brandy Davidson of Sault Ste. Marie; his stepson, Andrew McFarlane of Hammondvale, his brother, Jack and Susan Adair of Sussex; his sisters: Bonnie and Edward Payne of Hillsdale, Debbie Forsythe of Waterford, Freda Adair and Mark Bourque of Rothesay, Ann and Russell Flynn of Saint John and Angela Adair of Sussex; his grandchildren Alivia, Carter, Annabelle, Cohen, Savannah and Aiden; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Although he loved his job, he enjoyed being outdoors more. Some of Greg's favourite hobbies were hunting and fishing, time spent in the woods, on the river bank or out in a boat with rod in hand, were some of his most cherished memories. Greg was an excellent shot, and he brought home many prized trophies, some of which he had mounted and hung in his home. He also had a great love for hockey and was a Toronto Maple Leaf fan to the end. The enjoyment that hunting and fishing brought Greg, was nothing in comparison to the great love and care he had for his family. Greg may have been an outdoorsman, but at his core, he was a father and grandfather. His sons meant the world to him. As many grandparents have experienced, Greg's love increased all the more once he became a grandfather. His six precious grandchildren, adored their Grampy and could always bring a smile to his face. He was so proud of his family. Greg was a strong, passionate, kind, outgoing, and loving man. His legacy will continue to be carried on in the lives of his sons and grandchildren.
