My condolences to Tom's family. I rarely saw Tom but knew him through my Mother whose Mother was Jane (Hourihan) Keohan. You only needed to see Tom once to know he was an exceptional person, I will always remember how well he framed his conversation, whether it was about his family who he loved or another interest .

To my Madden relatives from the Maritimes,
On the 4th of August, 2016, just 6 weeks ago I had the greatest dream of my life come true. I got to meet Thomas Madden, my Dad (Ora Madden's) first cousin. Thomas was the sweetest, most wonderful person. We had a great visit and was so surprised to hear of his passing. He had that beautiful gleam in his eye, when he spoke about my Grandfather. It was a blessing that we got to meet and felt so badly when he said he didn't want me to leave. I was the first Madden girl he ever met from the West. Thank you Teresa for being so kind.
Also this never would of happened without finding my cousin Patrick Madden who welcomed me at the airport in Moncton and took my family to Sussex to meet Tom and Teresa.
As I watched the memorial video, Dad passed 10 years ago. He would of been 93 as well. Yes, the same generation I can't get over how these 2 cousins, born a few months apart could have the same loves in their lives. Family, and horses. The more the merrier. We rode in shows and rodeos for years as well as Quarter Horse racing. I'm so touched to find out that Tom loved horses as our Madden's did here in Saskatchewan.
Rest in peace, dear Tom. God bless your family and may they keep you in their hearts and memories forever.
